BEFORE YOU VOTE

REGISTER

Most voters are already registered but just to make sure you should verify your registration

GET INFORMED

Take the time to get to know all of your local candidates so you can make an informed vote.

READY YOUR ID

You'll be asked to prove your identity when voting. Be sure your ID is up to date and not expired

FIND YOUR POLL

Whether voting early or on election day make sure you know where you need to be.

HOW AND WHEN TO VOTE

VOTE BY MAIL

Vote by mail to avoid the long lines of people on voting day.

If your completed ballot does not arrive back to Elections Canada by election day it will not be counted!

You must request a ballot no later than

6:00pm on Tuesday September 14

VOTE EARLY

Vote early in-person and avoid the long lines on election day.

You should receive a voter information card in the mail to tell you where you can vote.

LOCAL OFFICE

You can vote early any day of the week at your local Elections Canada office. The deadline to vote at a local office is

6:00pm

Local offices will open on Tuesday August 24.

ELECTION DAY

If you haven't voted by mail, by special ballot, or at an advanced poll your last chance to vote is with everyone else on

Monday

September 20

7:00am - 7:00pm

You should receive a voter information card that tells you where your polling station is.

WHERE TO VOTE

If you received a voter information card in the mail it should indicate your assigned polling station. If you didn't you can find your polling station with your postal code at elections.bc.ca.
